The cottage was built by the manager of the Siabod quarry in 1928 and is named after a joiner called O.T. Williams, who used to occupy the first floor workshop. The building was known in the family as 'lloft O.T.' and one of the quarry manager's children, who still lives locally, recalls being a regular visitor as a small child, when he would sit on the workbench learning to count and sing.
