Walking

Venture up Snowdon or any one of Snowdonia's 3000 ft peaks, or enjoy a more leisurely stroll through picturesque villages, along tranquil riverbanks or hidden forest tracks.

Watersports

A range of watersports are available at Plas y Brenin, the outdoor activity centre, in Capel Curig.

Mountain biking

There are many options for mountain biking in the area including the nearby Marin Trail in the Gwydyr forest. There are plenty of alternatives to match your skill and experience levels and if you can't bring your own, bike hire is available in Betws-y-Coed.

Ancient towns and castles

The walled town of Conwy is within easy reach and the train ride along the valley from Betws-y-coed makes for a spectacular approach. Once there you can explore the castle, walk around the town walls and enjoy the many lovely shops.
